Bangalore: BJP Seeks Immediate Transfer of Dakshina Kannada DC

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Apr 1: Through an appeal, the state BJP on Tuesday March 31, asked the Election Commission to immediately transfer Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner for his alleged partisan policies.

A delegation of the party led by party spokesperson V Dhananjay Kumar met state Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) M N Vidyashankar and presented to him the appeal. The delegation urged the CEC to transfer the said DC, in order to be able to conduct the election in a free and fair manner and also to take legal action against the Sullia tahsildar, whose behaviour the party branded as rude.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Kumar said, it was informed in advance that 500 people would be served vegetarian food at the meeting of party activists held in Sullia. Still, the deputy commissioner interfered in the matter unnecessarily and behaved like an agent of a particular political party, he alleged.

Sullia tahsildar has been trying to get involved with issues with which he should not be having any concern. Asking the party to serve food to only 100 people as against 500 and asking confirmation that those who took part in the programme belong to the BJP are heights of arrogance, he felt.

I wonder after reading the comments here. Becos, 1. Its a matter between the affected persons, DC and EC. EC will take decision. Why others are worrying. 2. No politicians are clean, accepted. At the same time please admit that no beaurocrats are honest. Mind it. 3. Most of the comments are from Christians. Why? Please tolerate. All the time everybody will not accept everything.

Everyone knows that our DC is a straight forward officer and majority of the public like his responsibilities in Mangalore and surroundings. Therefore, the DC should not be transferred from his present location.

I agree with Mr. Cyril Mathias. We need good Officers to run the country and not the dolls of the Netas. Our country is in a mess right now. We need good political leaders who have the ability to take the country forward in a right direction and achive the goals and uplift the poor people of the country. We need leaders like Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, Anil ambani, Infosys Krishnamurthy, Nandan Neilkeni like wise. Leaders should have masters degree in respected fields to become Ministers and give free hand within the constitutional frame work. then see the country's progress. Strict action should be taken on those people who are trying to divide human beings from human beings bring in between the religious card. We all are sensible human beings and we must understand why these political parties arec poisoning us to hate each other not for public benifit but their own benifit.  So I request all the people of this country to think twice and vote for the right person who love the people and the country.

Why are we targetting an Honest and Able I.A. S. Officer like our D. C. - Mr. Ponnuraj, I wonder?? Is this b'coz he is straight forward n upright and doesnt tolerate non sense from any party or other wise. He is known for his action against corruption and law breakers??

Is this transfer request, is probably b'coz you can not manipulate Ponnuraj & get him to do what YOU want to do, rather than what he wants you to follow? Does this request mean, that an upright officer can not function the way he is supposed to & according to laws?

Commentators may be remembering Former Chairman of Rajya Sabha Najma Hepthulla, being in Congress for a long time attracted towards bjp’s big media show of India shining campaign and joined to bjp.

People are attracted and willing to join from Congress to bjp, from bjp to JDS, from BJP to Congress, from JDS to Congress and vice versa. Congress, bjp or any other parties they are telling they serve the people and the nation. Actually they are serving themselves and their families.
