Kundapur, Mar 31: Parents Day was celebrated at St Anthony English Medium School, Sastan, near here on Sunday March 29 evening.
Writer, artist and lecturer Kota Narendra Kumar was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Narendra said, the mental growth of students in their tender age is so sensitive that their parents need to take extra care to ensure that their behaviour with the children does not adversely impact their children.
St Anthony English Medium School correspondent Fr Vincent Martis presented the annual report. He also urged the parents and guardians of the students to cooperate with the management.
Parents-Teachers' Association president Robert Furtado informed the gathering that the state government has issued no objection certificate to implement the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus. A resolution to this effect proposed by the vice-president Venkatesh Pai was unanimously passed by the Parents-Teachers' Association.
Alwyn Quadros, Venkatesh Bhat and Shabana also spoke on the occasion.
School head teacher Sr Regi Thomas welcomed the gathering. Anita proposed the vote of thanks. Disha D’Almeida compered the programme.
