Udupi, Apr 26: “Terrorism, violence, revenge and violent acts cannot destroy the world, but peace, love, non violence and forgiveness can win the world. Terrorism, violence and cruelty cannot change the world,” said Udupi diocese bishop Dr Jerald Issac Lobo.
He addressed a programme held in the Church of Mother of Sorrows, Udupi to pay condolences with regard to those who passed away in the recent terrorist attack in Sri Lanka.
“The day of festivities in the world became the most tragic day for the people in Sri Lanka. 359 people including ten Indians lost their lives in the incident. More than 45 children have died for no fault of theirs. The whole world condemns the brutal act.
“The incident would not have happened if those who were destroying lives understood how difficult it is to build them. May the Almighty bestow sufficient strength to the bereaved families,” prayed the bishop.
