Udupi, Mar 27: If everything goes on well, these Loksabha elections will see the entry of Social Action Committee (SAC) into politics. SAC has decided to field its own candidates in Udupi-Chikmagalur and Mangalore constituencies.
A decision in this regard was taken by the SAC members during a meeting held here on Wednesday March 24, stated press release.
Meanwhile, SAC will also organize poll campaign against the political parties and government that have been using youth for their selfish gains especially during elections, said SAC convener Deepak D’Mello.
Youth are attracted to SAC owing to rebellion in leading political parties and dearth of able candidates. The youth have lost hope in the leading political parties. Accordingly SAC will stage its struggle just like Assam Gana Parishat which came to power because of the support from youth. Moreover, SAC aims at convincing the youth in facing the future struggles since their future is in peril as union government has been granting financial assistance on the basis of caste and religion in the country.
SAC aims to empower the youth on self-reliance through National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), in order to overcome unemployment and to build strong India, stated press release.
