Bengaluru, Apr 24: Progressive thinker Dr K S Bhagwan said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) is sowing the seed of casteism, upper and lower strata of people in society and discrimination among the countrymen.

Dr Bhagwan was speaking at a programme in the city. He further said, "Some people are saying that the constitution needs to be amended. No one comes forward to protest against such people. Why the constitution has to be amended?"

"We worship several Gods since thousands of years. However, none of the Gods have made any improvement in the living standards of Dalits, Shudras and people belonging to the backward community. So throw all the Gods to gutter," added Dr Bhagwan

"All the Shudras are the slaves of Brahmins as per Manu Smrithi. It is said that the Shudras are created to serve the Brahmins. God has not protected the Dalits and downtrodden, who have been subjected to harassment and subjugation, since thousands of years. So why such a God should be revered?" questioned Dr Bhagwan.

Dr Bhagwan further fumed and said, "The Gods were created to suppress the people of lower castes. Blood has flown in all the religions by subjecting the Dalits and downtrodden to continuous harassment. However, such things are not seen in the Buddhist religion."

"I have studied the Valmiki Ramayana for two years and unearthed who is the real Ram. Valmiki never says that Ram is God," clarified Dr Bhagwan.
