Mumbai, Mar 25: A literary and cultural programme and the inaugural of ‘Gamak’ training camp was held recently at Gokul B T Auditorium, Sion (East) here. It was jointly organized by Karnataka Vidhyavardak Sangh, Dharwad, and Kannada department of Mumbai University as part of 70th birthday celebrations of Majibail Vasudev Rao.
It was sponsored by Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka Sangeet Kala Academy, Bangalore.
Veteran clarinet player and Karnataka Sangeet Kala Academy president Pandit Narasimhalu presided over the programme.
‘Nrapatunga’ award winner Nadoja Dr Patil Puttappa, as well as noted litterateur and intellectual Dr S L Bhairappa were the chief guests while Carnatic musician Vidushi Dr T S Satyavati was the guest of honour on the occasion.
