Mangalore, Mar 24: The city unit of Youth Wing Jamaath-e-Islami Hind organized a blood donation camp in Kasba Bengre here on Sunday March 22.
Addressing blood donors after inaugurating the camp, Dr K S Arif said that every healthy person should come forward to donate blood. He added that this will save many lives which require blood urgently.
Dr Poornima, director, blood bank, KMC, claimed that any healthy person between age 18 and 55 can donate blood without any apprehension.
Muhammadh Kunhi, president, Youth Wing JIH, said that youth may obtain the love of god through social service. He said that blood donation will help many patients during an emergency.
Dr Bhavani Shankar, chief, blood bank, KMC, Mangalore, Muhammadh Saadiq, A K Asif, and Dr Zahid Hussain, were present on the occasion. A total of 112 persons donated blood during the camp.
