Udupi, Apr 11: “Acute scarcity of sand due to failure of state government has caused hardship to ordinary people and small traders making them jobless. Farmers are grieving over failure of the government to pay compensation to farmers whose crop is destroyed by wild animals,” stated Raitha Morcha is a press release.

“The state revenue department has been harassing farmers over lapses in Pahani and Akrama Sakrama. Farmers are facing hardship due to cases in Tahsildar court, divisional commissioner court and DC’s court. The state government has also failed to provide copy of Khata.”

“The government has also failed to provide uninterrupted power supply to farmer’s lands. Therefore, the JD(S)-Congress coalition government in the state has no moral right to ask for votes. “

“There were Congress and JD(S) coalition government MLAs and ministers from the district during the last five years. Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and former chief minister Siddaramaiah visited the district several times during the period. But they failed to find solutions to the problems. Therefore, voters will teach them a lesson in the elections,” stated Raitha Morcha in its news release in the meeting.

Raitha Morcha district chief secretary Raghavendra Uppoor welcomed and gave an introduction. Srinivas Sharma compered the programme. Dheeraj K S rendered the vote of thanks.

Raitha Morcha office bearers were present.
