Udupi, Apr 6: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Shiv Sena Lok Sabha candidate has become a big headache for the BJP as election is fast approaching.

Youth leader Gautham Prabhu who is contesting on a Shiv Sena ticket from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency has been seeking votes with PM Modi's photograph printed alongside other Shiv Sena leaders in the pamphlets as well as campaign vehicle.

Though in Maharashtra, the BJP and the Shiv Sena have gone ahead with poll tie-up, no BJP leaders have come forward for an alliance with Shiv Sena here. "Hence we are contesting independently in 10 seats. We are using the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in our campaign vehicle to help him elect as our PM again," said Shiv Sena state convenor Madhukar Mudrady.

According to reports, the BJP supporters are miffed with the party fielding Shobha Karnadlaje once again despite people criticising her for the less work that she has done in last five years.

As per reports, the staunch supporters of the BJP hence might vote for Shiv Sena candidate as the latter party supports Modi. The unresolved sand extraction issue is also one of the reasons for BJP supporters to reject Shobha's candidature and instead support Shiv Sena in the LS polls.
