Bantwal, Apr 5: “Nalin Kumar Kateel has done no development in the district even though he was elected as MP twice,” said JD(S) state secretary S Mohammed Shafi.

Speaking to news reporters in BC Road press club on Thursday, April 4, he said that the district has remained completely behind in development and his party leaders are supporting coalition candidate out of dissatisfaction towards him.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has not fulfilled any of the promises made by it. The prices of items of daily use and petrol prices have gone up and unemployment issue continues. The government has made the economic level collapse by note ban,” he said.

“Coalition candidate Mithun Rai has the quality of uniting all the religions and he will win the elections with record number of votes,” he said with confidence.

JD(S) block president B Mohan, chief secretary Prakash Gomes, district minority unit chief secretary Haroon Rashid, Rahim P A, Umesh and Yuva Janata Dal president G A Amanulla were present.
