Udupi, Mar 31: An advanced ‘Dry Eye Treatment Clinic’ was inaugurated at Prasad Netralaya Super Specialty Eye Hospital, Udupi here on Sunday, March 31.
Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji of Putthige math inaugurated the clinic by lighting the lamp. “I have seen amazing growth of this eye care centre. There is grace of Lord Sri Krishna. Those who wish good for others will get success in life. When good things happen, we should say it is our team effort and when bad things will happen we should own up the mistake. Only then, a man can grow and can achieve something,” he advised.
“Today dry eye treatment is necessary and people need it. Where there is dryness, the temperature will be high. Every day, the temperature is getting high. It might be affecting our eyes. This treatment will relieve the eyes,” he added.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) pro chancellor Dr H S Ballal appreciated the work done by Dr Krishna Prasad Kudlu. “Remember your teachers and parents who guided you throughout. In these days, dry eye problems are increasing and people need to get advanced treatment. So this is the one stop centre for the patients,” he added.
Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat in his presidential address said, “Prasad Nethralaya is providing quality and standard treatment. It is engaged in rendering social service by organising free camps for poor. Dr Prasad is famed for his service in coastal districts as well as Goa. Poor should benefit from the clinic.”
Dr Prasad, managing director of Prasad Nethralaya, delivering keynote address said, “We have been serving since 17 years. Our clinics are equipped with state of the art equipment and provide services related to the eye. It is the only exclusive eye hospital in the region. We are empanelled with all the TPAs and most of the government related health schemes. Around 50% of population is suffering with dry eye problem. There are 25 full pledged doctors and trained staff serving in the hospital. The service is available 24*7 round the clock.”
Physicians of the Prasad Nethralaya were honoured on the occasion, for their remarkable service.
The guests of honour unveiled NABH Accreditation certificate. An ambulance donated by Hilary Pinto, Al Faris Group, Dubai was handed over to Prasad Nethralaya.
