Sullia, Mar 29: Dr B N Srikrishna, a paediatrician practicing here, has hung a banner in front of his house in which he has spelt out policies to which he is committed. He has asked people seeking votes from him and his family to visit his residence only if they are prepared to stay committed to the principles set out in the banner.
During the previous assembly election too the doctor had made public his political views. He wants the parties concerned to be committed to implementation of election manifesto, national security and national interests. He also wants the concerned to be committed to culture and heritage, desist from following contrasting policies, not to support criminals, terrorists, traitors, corrupt people etc. The people should stay away from forbidden items, treat everyone equally, impartial stance, active participation in cleanliness drive, commitment to protection of cows and prohibition of cow slaughter, no double standards in the guise of serving people, as well as prompt response to demand and feelings of people. He says that if the concerned are acceptable to his conditions they can proceed to seek votes from him and his family.
Dr Srikrishna feels that the politicians should accept the manifesto set out by the people and that the vote seekers should have certain level of commitment. That is why he has hung this banner on the gate of his residence. The banner has got good response in social websites too.
