Mangaluru: Two playschool children detected with swine flu

Mangaluru, Mar 28: Two children of a playschool at Bejai here were found to have been infected with H1N1 virus. Both have been treated and they have recovered, sources said.

12 persons including nine children of the said playschool and also its head were suffering from flu since the last three days. Their blood samples were collected and tests were conducted on Tuesday. The tests confirmed that two of the children were infected. All the children were given the tablets meant to treat H1N1 infection. The infected children too are in good health now and there are no complications, said taluk medical officer, Dr Naveen.

As a measure of abundant precaution, the playschool has been closed for ten days. The doctors have advised people suffering from flu to take rest inside their homes as far as possible and contact the doctors in case fever increases.
