Addressing a news conference at the State party office, the BJP leader said the victory and electoioneering of his son was more important to Kumaraswamy, who was acting like a dutiful father.
Kumar condemned the total abuse of power by the Chief Minister in Mandya to harass Sumalatha Ambareesh, Independent candidate and wife of Late actor M H Ambareesh, who is contesting against the JD(S) candidate Nikhil.
Kannada movie actors Yash and Darshan were not spared either for extending their support to Sumalatha, he said.

Out of the 8 seats allotted to JD(S) from the total 28 Lok Sabha seats in the State as part of the coalition seat-sharing arrangement, the JD(S) had surrendered two seats to Congress with a Congress candidate made to contest on the party symbol in one.
