He was speaking after inaugurating 'Konkani Lokved Naach-2009', a programme of folk dances being held at Vidyaranga Theatre in Kharvikery here under the aegis of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Vidyaranga Mitr Mandali Kharvikery, on Sunday March 1.
Academy president Narayan Kharvi presided. Retired senior manager of Vijaya Bank K B Kharvi addressed the gathering, extending his best wishes for the success of the programme. All Karnataka Konkani Kharvi Mahajan Sangh president N D Kharvi, Pitambar Kogga Kharvi, Mahakali temple trustee Koggi Naik, Konkan Kharvi Welfare Association president Ramanat Sarang, Gurudas Banavalikar, Vidyaranga Mitr Mandali president Dinkar Kharvi etc were present.
Konkani Academy registrar H S Shivarudrappa welcomed. Sheena Kharvi delivered introductory address. Dinkar Kharvi presented the programme. Nagaraj Kharvi proposed vote of thanks.
