Riyadh, Mar 24: As a part of ongoing ‘Fraternity Fest 2019’ being organized all over Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India Fraternity Forum Karnataka chapter Riyadh organised a family get-together, under the theme ‘Sneha Koota-2019’ at Al TaqatVue resort, As-sulay Riyadh on March 21.
It was heartening to see families including infants to all age group arriving with great enthusiasm. Kids filled the place with joy and laughter all set for a great fun time. The event began with the Qirath by Aadil Hussain.
India fraternity forum Karnataka Riyadh general secretary Tajuddin Puttur welcomed the guests and gathering. He explained the vision and work of India Fraternity Forum.
The programme was presided over by India fraternity forum Karnataka Riyadh president Ismail Yousuf in his presidential speech. He said, “This event should strengthen the bond between Indians residing in KSA.” He urged the community to be united and ignore the differences between them. He also urged every organization to come forward and strive towards empowering the marginalised sections of the society. Further he said that the forum is also encouraging the children and their parents to take part in the competitions which will strengthen the family bond too.
Haris Mangaluru, central committee president, Indian social forum Riyadh was invited as key speaker.
Haneef Basrur, former chairman, Khidmah foundation, Azeez Bankal president DKMO, and Dr Kaiser also spoke on the occasion.
Ilyas, president, Hidaya Foundation, Ashfaq Koteshwar, president Murudeshwar Jamath, Abdul Salam, president Adoor Riyadh committee, and Abdulaziz Katipalla, president, KMYA were also invited as chief guests and were present on the dias.
The announcement of the winners of IFF young artistes was also done during the stage programme. In junior section Rumas bagged 1st price and Luha Fathima was the runner-up. In senior section Noah M khan was the winner.
Various cultural activities including Traditional Duff, Qawaali, Shayari were presented on the occasion. 'Pravasi Jeevana’ play was the center of attraction of the event which highlighted the situation of expatriates.
Exciting and fun filled games were conducted for both men and women to engage the gathering like Quiz, Tug of War, Race, Cricket, drawing etc. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
In children’s running Race Rafan Abdullah won the 1st prize and Moazam Arafat was the runner-up, in Tug of war, Bantwal Guys were the winners and Tippu Nagar were the runners-up, and in cricket Markaz Jamal were the winners and Roses Batha bagged the second place. Ismail Yousuf, Tajuddin, Naveed, Shareef, Sabith, and Usman presented the trophies and medals to the winners.
