Puttur, Feb 26: Puttur police circle inspector B K Manjaiah and other personnel succeeded in arresting Jagga alias Jagadish, a rickshaw driver from Kasargod, who is facing charges of being involved with the murder of two siblings relating to a financial controversy and then throwing their bodies into river Netravati near Uppinangady a few days back. The accused had gone into hiding after brothers Ganesh and Suresh Babu from Palakunnu, Kasargod were murdered, and the policemen had launched a manhunt for them.
The police team, which got information that Jagadish was present in Badiyadka in Kasargod district, raided his place and took him into custody. He was produced in Puttur court on Wednesday evening, whereupon he was remanded to judicial custody till March 4.
Other accused in the case, Manju alias Manjunath, the financier for whom the murdered brothers worked Radhakrishna and Kiran Kumar are already in judicial custody. With this arrest, conducted under the guidance of assistant superintendent of police Dr Chandragupta, all the accused in the case stand arrested.
