Udupi, Feb 25: A programme titled ‘Article 19- International Communication Festival’ will be held at the Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC) auditorium in Manipal from Thursday February 26 to Saturday February 28.
The event is being organized by Manipal Institute of Communication.
G K Prabhu, registrar of Manipal University and M B Kant will participate in the inaugural function, said Elvin Jacob, chairman, Manipal Media Students Convention, speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday February 24.
Girish Ranade and Krishna Mariyanka will conduct a seminar on Friday February 27. Later, Bollywood actor cum director Rahul Bose will inaugurate a jata by foot, planned to be held that evening to create awareness on conservation of electricity, by severing power connection in Manipal from 8 pm to 9 pm, he explained.
Sankalp Mishram and Sandya Ravishankar will conduct a workshop on February 28, followed by the prize distribution ceremony the same evening, he revealed.
Manjusha Hebbar, Ramnatan N and lecturers Sudheer Sukhaji and Varadesh Hiragange were present at the press conference.
