Addressing the job seekers, Edmond Frank said, “This is a unique opportunity for the job seekers and job providers. It is the best time to start a partnership between the potential employers and employees. In today’s world, job seekers should make themselves attractive. At the same time, the company should present itself, as if; they are the best in the Industry. Nowadays, the main objective of the education is to get on with a job. But it does not mean that only qualified people get jobs. Job seekers, filled with quality, also get opportunities and finally they can only climb to success. So, at the time of education itself, students should learn what discipline and good character is.

“I congratulate the management of Milagres College because they are organizing their second edition of job fair. They succeeded in inviting a large number of companies and have provided a good platform for students and job seekers.”

In his speech, Jeevan Saldanha said, “I am happy to hear that India's rank has slightly increased in the world in the index of growth of companies. But inside our country, the same companies and industries struggle a lot. Implementation of GST has created some difficulties for majority of the companies, but now they have slowly started to adjust to the new tax format. Non stability of employees is another major headache for the corporate world. So both companies and the job seekers should do a self-evaluation over their business and job. Time is very valuable. We cannot waste it by waiting for our dream job. We should be ready to do any work because each work has its own dignity. In today’s world everyone is specialized. But at the same time, we need to have basic knowledge of every job . It will make us more special in a firm and society. “

In his presidential speech Fr Valerian said, “I wish all the best to all job seekers and employers who gathered here. Give your best and grab the opportunity. We started this job fair last year and a total 700 students got jobs in various companies. This year, we are looking for more to get selected. The number of companies which registered for the job fair has also increased and it indicates that this event is widely accepted by the corporate world and the youths who are seeking jobs.”

Fr Michael Santhumayor welcomed the dignitaries and gathering.

In total 70 companies related to IT, BPO, Insurance, Banking, Pharmacy, Hotel, Automobile, Construction, Real estate, Health, Educational sector are participating in the job fair. These companies are looking for nearly 3500 staff to fill various vacancies.

Congrats to Fr. Valerian - Great Priest - devoted to serve God's creations. He is blessed with Good Staff.
Modern day needs require modern Day Solutions - Gone are the days - when boys graduated they
either eloped, went to Bombay or Middle East - worked under severe, dehumanizing conditions - yet
    supported the old parents!
I have met several boys - graduated from Colleges in DK - somehow ended up in Middle East - work under extreme stress not to mention abuse. Yet carry on the menial jobs to support the family back HOME! Such horrific experience can be self destructive and self-defeating yet many of us lasted long
enough to come home with "some" cash and pretend to be "Happy"! But this kind of life has NO FULL-FILLING. Our current generation needs to come up with indigenous solutions to OUR current challenges. Good Luck Milagres Fathers and Staff! May YOU SET the Path & Pace for progress of DK and Mangalore in Particular.
