    2 Women rescued?????

They must have been doing it willingly and the customer may have been a needy guy. This is the oldest profession so why not legalize it in designated areas?

In Mumbai. Delhi, Kolkata they have legalized it.

This has to be legalised atleast in the major city areas, so that several rape cases will come down.

They must be debarred from Mangalore. First Police must keep them in Jail for one year, then must debarred. And the Licence of that Hotels or Room must seize for few years. Otherwise no use. This ride will be a routine work for our Police.

If at all in Mumbai there are no or less rapes comparing to other places of India because there are legal prostitute area. But as prostitution is running for centuries, better to make it legal and government should allow certain designated area for this business.

There is no guarantee, the girls who have been rescued by police, are free from their clutches and only social activists will able to tell the real reality.

    Dear Mr. Harold,
Legalizing prostitution will not be an issue. But it will create consequences in the society by increasing crime rates such as child trafficking, Kidnapping and kinds of stuff like that. So it is better not to legalize prostitution in our Proud Mangalore which is popular for cultural heritage and moral values.

Child trafficking, Kidnapping are really inhuman and at any cost it should be condemned. Even in spite of all the laws we have, still child trafficking has taken place. But there should be age limit those who opt to go for this profession. Might be 30 years and above. Anything illegal will run under the Sun and any legal will have other repercussion but rape issue will be minimised to a great extent.

I would really urge the media to start mentioning the name of the lodges when such things happen. No point in hiding names, we don't want to end up with our families tomorrow in a lodge where prostitution goes on. No illegal things happen anywhere without the knowledge the lodge people, it's better if names are revealed.
