Panaji, Feb 22: The annual and the much awaited Carnival celebration has hit the state in a grand style in Panaji. The four day fun frolic celebration was inuagurated by his excellency Governor of Goa Dr S S Sidhu in the auspicious presence of the Goa Chief minister Digambar Kamat, Tourism minister Mickey Pacheco, City Mayor Tony Rodrigues and others. The Carnival parade included Thematic floats, Commercial floats, Dance troupes, fancy dress competition and so on. The theme for this years carnival float parade was environment and to support this there were more than twenty floats supporting the cause. Thousands of enthusiastic locals, domestic and International tourists had a gala time during the carnival parade.
