Mangaluru, Mar 16: The late Mrs Naseema Fareed Memorial Lecture and two day free workshop on ‘Basic ICU Care and Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation’ was inaugurated by Dr Vaishali Sreejith, the Board of Studies member of Undergraduates Physiotherapy, RGUHS, Bengaluru.
Kanachur College of Physiotherapy, Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre in association with U T Fareed Foundation organised the workshop on March 15 at the auditorium of the Research Centre in Mangaluru.
Delivering the inaugural address Dr Vaishali Sreejith, spoke on the importance of role of physiotherapists in ICU and she motivated students to learn more through workshops.
The presidential address was delivered by Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences chairman Haji K Monu.
55 delegates, physiotherapy interns and post graduates of different colleges participated in the two day workshop.
Dr Jayaprakasha K P, DM Critical Care, Dr Rampraksh, MD Physician, Dr Vikas Naik, MD Physician and Dr Nigat Fathima, MPT Cardiorespiratory were the resource persons for the workshop.
Abdul Rahiman, director Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Virupaksha, dean KIMS, Dr Shrisha Kandigae, vice dean KIMS, Dr Vivian D’Souza, principal Kanachur Paramedical Colleges and Dr Shanawaz, HOD Forensic were present.
Dr Mohammad Suhail, principal, Kanachur College of Physiotherapy welcomed the guests and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Reshma, Asst. Prof. Kanachur College of Physiotherapy.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the memorial lecture and workshop is being organised.
