Udupi, Feb 21: The newly-constructed Sri Narayana Guru Samudaya Bhavan and dining facility at Malpe, near here, will be inaugurated on Friday February 27. It was constructed at a cost of over Rs 55 lac.
State home minister Dr V S Acharya will inaugurate the Bhavan on Friday while state food and civil supplies minister H Halappa will inaugurate the dining facility.
Sri Satyanandateerta Swami of Shivagiripur Math of Kerala, will grace the occasion.
Mumbai Billava Association president Jaya C Suvarna, MLA K Raghupathy Bhat, former minister Vasant V Salian, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, Mogaveer Mahajana Sangh president Pramod Madhwaraj, and Mumbai entrepreneur Damodar C Kundar will also attend the programme.
Karnataka state Arya Ediga Sangh president J P Narayanaswamy will lay the foundation stone for the construction of extended classrooms on Saturday February 28.
Beltangady MLA Vasant K Bangera, Hospet former MLA H R Gaviappa, Mumbai entrepreneur Sooru C Karkera, and Udupi Urban Development Authority chairman B Sudhakar Shetty, will be present on the occasion.
The concluding ceremony will be held on Saturday evening and will be attended by Bangalore Billava Association president M Vedakumar, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, former MLA U R Sabhapathy, deputy municipal councilor Indira Shekar, and Dr Ramesh Naik of New City Hospital.
A community mass wedding will be held on Sunday March 1 at the Samudaya Bhavan to mark the inaugural.
