Mangaluru, Mar 13: Music composer and singer Jerald Oswald D’Souza popularly known as Jerry Bajjodi along with singer and composer Jerald D’Souza, popularly known as Jerry Bondel, are all set to present their musical nite at St Agnes Special School ground on Easter Sunday, April 21.
The musical show titled 'Jerry and Jerry Nite' will be presented by Joyful Beats, Mangaluru for providing financial help to Josna and Joyslin, physically challenged children, residing at Bondel.
Jerry Bajjodi has presented four musical nites so far in Mangaluru and Mumbai. This will be his first musical nite along with co-singer and composer Jerry Bondel. Jerry Bajjodi has composed more than 60 songs and has one album to his credit titled ‘Nach Bhangara’. His most famous songs include Avoipona, Roopa, Mummy, Rosmary etc.
Jerald D'Souza, popularly known as Jerry Bondel, currently residing at Mumbai, has composed more than 85 Konkani and Tulu songs. He has presented six Jerry Nite shows in Mumbai, and was a master in playing various musical instruments in the earlier days of his career. He was the member of various brass band troupes (Albert D’Souza Rose Band, Bajpe; Master Jaison Band, Bajpe; Harry's Silver Band, Bejai). He has also composed 25 Konkani hymns. His first album ‘Somi ani Ami’ will be released on April 21 during the ‘Jerry and Jerry Nite’ musical show.
Jerry Bondel has also composed songs for ‘Zanvoy No.1’ Konkani movie which was released in 2018.
Along with Jerry and Jerry, Konkani’s well-known singers Vijay Vas, William Padhrengi, Leslie D’Cruz, Viran Veigas, Tara Rum Pum fame Leo Ranipura, Melwin Permannur, Lional Veigas, Wilma Pereira, Jeslita D'souza, Shalet Castelino, Konkani’s promising voices Wilston D'Souza, Daisy D'Souza, Dealle D’Souza, Joyston D'Souza and Lawrence D'Souza will also enthrall the music lovers.
Well-known poet and TV anchor Alwyn Danthy Pernal and movie and serial actor Floyd D'Mello Cascia will compere the event.
Talented musicians Vijay Noronha, Rajesh, Rajendra, and Roshan Bela will accompany the duo with music instruments. Team ‘Bindas Pernal’ will create laughter-riot with their performances. Nishan and team will mesmerise the gathering by their innovative dance steps.
Praveen D'Souza, Alister, Sunil Permannur and Jerald Towers are the coordinators of the musical nite.

About Josna and Joyslin
Josna and Joyslin are the daughters of Jossy Veigas and Reena Veigas from St Joseph ward of St Lawrence Church, Bondel. By profession Jossy Veigas is a commission agent for building materials. Their mother Reena is working as a temporary sweeper at a nearby school.
Both Josna and Joyslin are physically challenged by birth. They are completely dependent upon their parents for their daily needs. Joyslin after completing her PU, joined women's polytechnic institute in Bondel and is pursuing diploma in commercial practice computer courses which is meant for physically challenged students. Josna studied up to SSLC and is pursuing 1st year computer course which is meant for physically challenged students. Understanding their financial problem, the Joyful Beats Mangaluru came forward with a fundraising programme for Josna and Joyslin. They hope that the music lovers and generous people will back this cause and will bring a smile on the faces of Josna and Joyslin.
