Mangaluru, Mar 10: For the first time in the history of Dakshina Kannada district, the employees of various blood banks were united on a single dais by Blood Helpline Karnataka.
In order to bring more awareness on blood donation and improve the coordination between the medical officers and the staff of various blood banks in the city, a ‘Sneha Koota’ (Friendly get together) was organized by Blood Helpline Karnataka at Hotel Ocean Pearl in the city on March 8.
Mustaf Adoor Demmale, advisor of the organization, who presided over the function explained the activities of the organization and requested the suggestion and co-operation of the officials and personnel of the blood banks for the betterment of the blood helpline.
The officials and conveners, who participated in the discussion that was held on the occasion, exchanged ideas on the issues faced in the supply of blood and also how to manage the emergency situation, information about the blood camps, problems faced in the blood camp and suggestions to increase awareness among women.
The officials and staff of the blood banks expressed their joy in participating in the blood camps organized by blood helpline as they are well organized.
Founder of Blood Helpline Karnataka, Nisar Ullal, manager Nasir Arabi, convener Sameer Seeko, Faizal Machi, Nasir B C Road, Ifaz Bannur, Mustafa Bolantoor, Riaz Tippu Nagar, Naushad Manchi, Ajay Kudla and Nizam Badriya Nagar were present.
Asraf Arabi, convener of Blood Helpline welcomed the gathering and compered the event.
