MP Pratap Simha made to wait for 7 hours in police custody for bail

Bengaluru, Mar 9: Mysuru MP, Pratap Simha, who appeared before the special court for people's representatives to attend a hearing in a defamation suit filed by actor-cum-politician, Prakash Rai, seeking compensation of one rupee, was made to wait for seven hours in police custody by the judge of the court, B V Patil. Thereafter, he was granted bail. 

On Friday, Pratap Simha was produced in the special court at 11.30 am. He immediately filed application for bail, but the judge asked the police to take Pratap Simha into custody apparently for disobeying court orders and not appearing for hearings in the past. The on-duty police personnel took him into custody.

The judge made him to wait for seven hours inside the court premises. At 6 pm on Friday, he sanctioned bail to Pratap Simha and adjourned hearing in the case to March 19.
