Bantwal, March 8: “The inauguration of new building of Mani Karnataka educational institute constructed with the cooperation of Rotary club, a get together of senior students and their farewell will be held in the school premises on March 9,” said school management committee member K N Gangadhar Alva.

Speaking to reporters in B C Road press club on Thursday evening, he said that the new English medium school costing 32 lacs is built with the cooperation of Bantwal Rotary club, late Urdilaguthu Induhasa Rai family, late Haji Hussain Sultan Beedi and donors. Rotary assigned governor Ranganath Bhat will inaugurate the programme. Bantwal Rotary club president Manjunath Acharya will chair the programme. MLA Rajesh Naik, former minister Ramanath Rai, district deputy director Shivaramayya, local education officer Shivaprakash and others will be present as guests of honor.”

“The farewell of P Gangadhar Rai who retired as physical education teacher and get together of senior students will be held,” he said.

“The school has achieved several milestones since the last 38 years. It has 450 students at present with nearly 30 teaching and non teaching staff,” he said.

Bantwal Rotary club president Manjunath Acharya, Mani Vidyavardhaka Sangha president Kiran Hegde, secretary Ibrahim and Bantwal Rotary club’s Shivani Baliga were present.
