I visit this temple every year, and feel divine bliss something very soothing with the temple & its serene premises. The Idol of Goddess Rajarajeshwari is aprox 5000 years old. The vijaya nagara kings, the Kelladi Rani Chennamma all must have walked inside the temple during their times, and now i got the opportunity to seek the blessings of Goddess.
King suratha after having lost large part of his kingdom took refugee in this temple and found solace.
