Martyred pilot's wife asks social media users to not whip up sentiments

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Mar 3: Wife of martyred IAF officer Ninad Mandavgane has advised social media users who are demanding war to either go to the front or stop.

“We don’t want war. You don’t know the damages of war. We don’t want more Ninads to go. Social media warriors, please stop. If you want war, go to the front,” said Vijeta Mandavgane wife of Squadron Leader Ninad Mandavgane who was one among the seven killed when a Mi-17 chopper crashed in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam last week.

Vijeta urged social media users to not whip up sentiments and advised media to act responsible. “If you truly want to bring about change, for my Ninad, for Wing Commander Abhinandan and the martyrs, do a small thing. Either join the forces or make your family members join the forces. If you can't, then at least bring about small changes around you to help the nation. You can keep your surroundings clean, not litter the roads, not urinate in the public and not harass girls," Mandavgane told reporters. The message is currently going viral.

Leader Ninad Mandavgane was cremated with full military honours in Nashik on Friday. The 33-year-old martyred soldier has a two-year-old daughter who kissed his coffin during his last rites.

She has hit the nail on head. I couldn't stop my tears rolling down when I read the last para "Martyred soldier has a two-year-old daughter who kissed his coffin during his last rites".
Those who dream to cherish in Politics must serve in armed force at least for 5 Years as frontline soldier.

with due respect..we should know that media jingoism, social media comments wont decide any war....
Govts/militaries follow their own rule of engagements, its foolish to think they influence Military...war/deaths are unfortunate..miltary service is not for weak people..moreover its not an employment generation industry...we should know that earlier soldiers martyrd in kashmir no one bothered, now social media helping martyrd family in big way in collecting funds...

Politicians become sad when they don't get commissions during arms purchase and some other politicians get it, that motivates them to come back to power for commission sake.

I respect her whatever she said is true. We, Indians, keep the guns on others shoulders and fire them. Look how US army gets respect at home and around the globe when they alive and also during the death. They get respect during the games, shows, concerts, schools, and many more more social events while on visit home, their service is recognized. Family is recognized. Every political family has/have served in forces first and then they serve the nation.
In our country doctor's son doctor, engineer's son is engineer, politician's family is all politicians.

    God save our country.

    Friends
Ninad's father and wife spoke bravely and patriotically. Very nice of them for their national spirit. But, behind their brave front, they too have feeling like you and me. They too bury their loved one the day they die, because till then the loved one lives in their heart.

This is what mother of a critically injured policeman told us about her feeling. She gave the following example: "There was a man always worried due to his problems. He never got sleep and he went to a doctor. Doctor told him he was not having any physical problem and his worries and sleeplessness would go if he went to a circus which came recently in the city. He advised him to see the joker in the circus who made people to laugh and in the process, this man would forget his worries. Doctor also told him that the joker might be a happiest man. Listening to this the man laughed loudly. Doctor asked him why. Man said, 'Doctor I am that joker'"

Hats off to u mam for such a brave statement at this time especially when your family is undergoing such a crisis and hats off to your deceased husband, may his noble soul rest in peace and may God reward you'll for the great sacrifice you'll have made for our country.

Some vested interests have no shame at all when it comes to interfering in other peoples lives and personal family issues for free and benefiting from them and causing havoc for to all concerned when it is none of their business, I think your advise for such people is really apt either they mind their own business for free or join the forces or do some good to bring about some good changes in their community, i think the best is they mind their own business.

I also advise such people to pay for your and your kids expense for life for your family's great sacrifice to the country and also the other soldiers and commanders families who sacrificed their lives as well. Hats off to u mam.

Despite multiple appeals to not politicise Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman’s capture and subsequent release by Pakistan, it has already become a major area of interest for politicians campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections.

On Saturday, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party chief Manoj Tiwari was seen reciting a poem about Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman during the launch of BJP’s Vijay Sankalp bike rally in New Delhi. Tiwari was dressed in Army fatigues.

Section 171 of The Indian Penal Code
Wearing garb or carrying token used by public servant with fraudulent intent.

Whoever, not belonging to a certain class of public servants, wears any garb or carries any token resembling any garb or token used by that class of public servants, with the intention that it may be believed, or with the knowledge that it is likely to be believed, that he belongs to that class of public servants, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees, or with both.

When the widow of the pilot is pleading for the government for peace efforts so that no other mother, wife or daughter will suffer the same, BJP Delhi Chief Manoj Tiwari campaigns for votes dressed in Army fatigues. This Bhojpuri actor turned politician was entering the crown in concert when 45 of CRPF soldiers have died in terror attack.

The RSS-BJP patriotism is using soldiers martyrdom for political gain is exposed again.
    Jai Hind
