Tumkur, Mar 2: State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa is committing mistakes every now and then. He is in the news again for his statement in which he said that BJP should win in more than 120 Lok Sabha seats in the state of Karnataka.
This mishap occurred when Yeddyurappa was speaking to the media after inaugurating the Vijaya Sankalapa Bike Rally in the district. In the tempo of his speech, Yeddyurappa said that BJP has to win in more than 120 Lok Sabha seats in the state. When he was later questioned as to how many seats, he said '22 seats' off the mike.
Yeddyurappa further said, "We have to strengthen the hands of the prime minister. Modi has to be made the prime minister again by winning in more than 300 seats. We have the confidence of winning minimum 22 seats in the state of Karnataka. I will finalize the list of candidates in a week's time after meeting Amit Shah."
When he was questioned on the contention of Sumalata from Mandya, Yeddyurappa replied, "We have not discussed on that matter. Let us see. BJP candidate for the Tumkur Lok Sabha constituencey is also not finalized. Discussion is on."
