Beltangady: Cops Caught by Lokayukta Hospitalized

Beltangady, Feb 9: The two local policemen caught by the Lokayukta police for accepting bribe on Friday February 6, sub-inspector M C Rame Gowda and constable Mahesh, have been admitted to the government hospital in Mangalore.

The two were remanded to judicial custody by the judge after being produced before him. The two claimed that they were ill, and were hospitalized.

The counsel for the two had moved bail petition in the local court on Saturday February 7. But the public prosecutor opposed the bail. The judge therefore, reserved his orders.

    Well said, Edmond....these crooks should be dismissed from service,and they should not be given any chance to revoke the dismissal order's...what a mockery of the system...I think we should have army rule for sometime in our country

    How come whenever the culprits are caught they are straight away taken ill? Someone will have to think of keeping a separate prision cell in the hospital and treat the culprit patients with hospital food and hospital treatment till they fully recover from their sicknesses. Any comments
