Bantwal, Mar 1: Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crop (RTC) or Pahani is very important to obtain the benefit of the 'Pradhan Mantri (PM) Kisaan (Kisan) Samman Nidhi Yojana Scheme' announced by the central government for the farmers of the country. In this context, farmers of the taluk are queued up at the 'Atal Nemmadi Kendra' in the Mini Vidhana Soudha here. Due to the chaotic situation that prevailed in the center, local MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadi paid a surprise visit to Mini Vidhana Soudha and enquired about the situation.
The chaotic situation arose at the Mini Vidhana Soudha due to various queues of people for Aadhaar registration and other general works and in addition, the crowd of farmers to obtain RTC to get the benefit of the central government scheme.
The farmers and public were cursing the department as they were not able to obtain the RTC since two days, due to the repeated power failures and server issues. As someone brought this issue to the notice of the MLA, he visited the Nemmadi Kendra in the Mini Vidhan Soudha and took a stock of the situation.
MLA Rajesh Naik contacted DC Sasikanth Senthil and asked him to make alternative arrangements for the farmers to get the RTC as there is issue of server all over the state. The MLA also took tahsildar Sanna Rangaiah to task and instructed him to take suitable action immediately to resolve the issue.
The deputy commissioner, who responded to the instructions of the MLA, informed that there is no need of attaching RTC to the other documents in order to claim the benefit under Pradhan Mantri Sammana Yojana. If the farmer signs the declaration form that is attached to the application, that is more than enough. This information was shared with the press by MLA Rajesh Naik.
In addition, the information given by the DC is conveyed to the agricultural department officials also and they also have responded positively in this matter according to Rajesh Naik. The MLA also informed that there is no need to queue up in front of the Nemmadi Kendra in Mini Vidhana Soudha.
Devdas Shetty, president, Bantwal zone BJP, Monappa Devasya, chief secretary, Purushotham Shetty Vamadapadavu, Rajarama Nayak, Gurudath Nayak Bantwal and Mahesh Shetty were present during the visit of MLA Rajesh Naik to the Nemmadi Kendra.
