Udupi: Special Vijayotsava for air strike by IAF held by Nagarika Samiti

Udupi, Feb 28: District Nagarika Samiti celebrated the Vijayotsava, on account of the destruction of terrorists and their base camp in Pakistan by Indian Air force on Wednesday, February 27 at the premises of Jana Samparka office near the Chittaranjan Circle in the city.

A huge tricolour flag that was 20 feet long and 14 feet wide was exhibited by all the people and slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai were raised during the occasion. More than 3,000 hot Jeelebi (sweetmeat) were prepared on the spot and served to the public. The Jeelebis were prepared by the team led by Sridhar Bhat, owner of Krishna Caterers.



Soldier Subramanya Upadhyaya, ex-servicemen Raghupati Rao, Ganesh Rao, Sadhu Kunder, Krishna Acharya, Ramesh Bhandary, Naveen Kumar, Narayan Bhandary Kappettu, Harinaksha Shetty, Wilson Karkera, retired police officers N Chandrashekhar, Ramakrishna, Rama Rao, Rosario D'Souza, chief secretary of Nagarika samiti Nityananda Olakadu, members Taranath Mesta Shiroor, Sudhakar, David, Mohammed, Balagangadhar Rao, social workers Ganesh Nayak, Raghavendra Prabhu Karvalu, JCI Jagadish Shetty and other were present.
