Udupi, Feb 7: A day-long seminar on ‘Financial Inclusions: Issues and Concerns’ will be held on Monday February 9 at Syndicate Institute of Bank Management, Manipal. It was jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai, Syndicate Institute of Bank Management, Manipal, and Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte.
The seminar will be inaugurated by George Joseph, chairman and managing director, Syndicate Bank, at 10.00 am on Monday.
Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management academic council chairman Dr N K Thingalaya will be delivering a special lecture.
Bangalore Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regional director B Srinivas will deliver the valedictory address.
A number of senior bankers, executives from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), RBI, as well as academicians from universities and management institutes, are expected to participate.
In the three technical sessions, bank executives, economists, and trainers, are scheduled to make presentations on various facets of a financial inclusion.
Syndicate Institute of Bank Management principal and general manager Sudhakar Rao, Sudhir Raj Nitte, and Sripad Rao were present at the press meet.
