Additional police personnel have since been deployed in strategic points and police officers have been keeping constant vigil. The police have been monitoring vehicles moving around the city, and police patrol vehicle, Sagar, has been keeping an eye on security measures, said city commissioner of police, Sandeep Patil. Two additional contingents of Karnataka State Reserve Police have been deployed. Instructions have been given to police personnel to set up barricades at sensitive and strategic points and undertake checks, senior police officials said.

The Coast Guard here has been kept in high alert as there is a chance of terrorists sneaking into India through coastal areas. Considering this, the Coast Guard has been kept in readiness and steps have been taken to keep an eye all over the coast and to tighten the safety measures further. High alert has been sounded.

Added vigil has also been kept on the activities going on at the airport here, and the passengers visiting the airport and those who leave to different destinations, are being subjected to additional screening. High alert has been declared in all important airports in the city. As the airport here is located on the coast, security has been tightened, and additional measures have been taken, sources said. Similarly, checks and security measures have also been undertaken in the railway stations here.

Though we can not see any BJP flags along with the National flag where the victory celebrations were held, I can confidently say those celebrated Airforce operations are from BJP. It is can be understood from the fact that they cleaned the premised after bursting fire crackers! What a disciplined party!!
