Puttur, Feb 26: BJP Dakshina Kannada district committee president, Sanjeeva Matandoor, clarified that party ticket for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency is not available. He said that the party will field its current MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, for the third time in a row from this constituency.
Speaking at a press meet here on Monday February 25, Matandoor agreed that it is but natural for several people aspiring for tickets from different constituencies. "It is not surprising that there are many who want to fight the election with BJP ticket as BJP is the winning horse here. In last year's assembly election too, there were many who wanted to fight the election as a BJP candidate. There were some who claimed that they had bagged the ticket. Comparatively, the competition this time is not as keen as last year," he stated.
