Mangaluru: Hundreds watch Konkani drama ‘Avoichi Dook’ at Jeppu

Mangaluru, Feb 25: Konkani drama written by Fr Nelson D’Almeida, ‘Avoichi Dook’ was presented on Sunday, February 24 at St Joseph Seminary Ground, Jeppu. Hundreds of spectators watched the drama.

The drama projected the love, sacrifice and pain of a mother. Religious priests and artistes played very impressive roles in the drama.

Fr Joseph Martis, rector, St Joseph Seminary, while addressing the crowd, congratulated Fr Nelson, the writer of drama, for his great effort. He also appealed the crowd to ponder the love and sacrifice made by mothers and give them due respect and dignity.

 

Fr Clifford Fernandes, parish priest of Jeppu, welcomed the gathering and Fr Nelson D’Almeida, the writer of the drama, introduced the artistes.

Many expressed that the drama gave a powerful message regarding the responsibility of children towards their parents especially mothers.

    Well scripted theme/story, dialogues, lyrics, tune we experienced during the rehearsal in Jeppu ground/Mangalore. Missed-out to attend the final show. Congratulations to Fr.     Beautiful drama with ground packed people.The songs were so meaningful.A happy family with son and mother caring each other and after marriage of the son things change and mother finally lands up in the Ashram .The son never turns back to see his mother .And with sorry she ends her life.A beautiful heart weeping drama..

    Drama was good. Acting was skillful. Songs were enriching. A seperate stage would have been better for singing. We foresee such small yet meaningful drama's in near future. Kudos to all those are involved in it.
