Panaji: Trans Sahyadri Mech Forces Paragliding Expedition 2009

Panaji, Feb 4: The first Trans Sahyadri Mech Forces Paragliding expedition got flagged off on February 1st in the state under the leaderhship of Col S R Nikam.

The prime aim of the expedtion is to popularise the concept of paragliding and also to find heritage sites along the Sahyadri range.



The 20 day expedition will end at Ahmednagar during which the trained army pilots would be covering 575 kms. The Piolts on an average would cover 30-40 kms per day said Col S R Nikam while elaborating on the event.

Altogether 16 Piolts have been trained for the event out of which 12 would be flying actively.
