Kasargod, Feb 22: The police team investigating the murders of two Congress activists in Periya took fourth accused Anil Kumar and seventh accused Vijin to the crime spot on Friday, February 22 and gathered more details regarding the murders.

Two more machetes with blood stains were found in the rubber plantations nearby. The accused that walked past the way are found to have gone to a house at Periya Paka of the accused, changed their clothes and set fire in a deserted place, to their clothes worn by them during the murders.

Four deadly weapons were recovered from a well nearby on Wednesday. Seven accused are arrested in connection with the murders. However, the investigating team is yet to get details of the accused that hatched the conspiracy.

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan shown black flags

Youth Congress activists showed black flags to Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan near Poyinachi. The chief minister was proceeding towards Kanhangad after laying foundation stone for new CPM district office at Kasargod. Police have taken the protesters into custody. Youth Congress activists B P Pradeep Kumar, Tomin Joseph, Srijith Madakal, Anwar Mangad, Unnikrishnan Poyinachi and Shivaprasad were arrested by the police. Though the chief minister had decided to visit the residences of murdered Sharath Lal and Kripesh, the visit was cancelled due to protests.
