After BJP’s launch from Feb 10, Rahul Gandhi to start poll campaign on Mar 9

Bengaluru, Feb 22: Lok Sabha poll campaign is picking up in Karnataka. While BJP had already launched its election campaign in the State from Hubballi on February 9, the Congress party is set to commence its parliamentary electioneering on March 9.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will also be commencing the party’s election campaign in the State from north Karnataka itself.

For ensuring Rahul Gandhi’s rally a grand success, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday held a meeting of the party’s office-bearers and discussed a poll strategy.

It was decided to select three KPCC secretaries for monitoring the poll campaignfrom each parliamentary constituency, Rao said.

The KPCC Chief said the district Congress committees have been directed to hold district level party rallies in each district and the Raichur district Congress Committee would hold its meeting on February 23 and he will be participating in it.

On the lines of ‘Vistarak’ campaign of the BJP, Rao told the office-bearers to focus on strengthening the booth-level committees to ensure better co-ordination among the party supporters and leaders.
