Paladka, Feb 3: St Ignatius Ward, one of the 12 wards of St. Ignatius Loyola Church, Paladka celebrated an annual feast or "sahamilan" in the house of Raymond Sequeira, Gurkar of the ward recently.
Fr Stany Rodrigues, parish priest, accompanied by parish pastoral council vice-president Vincent Sequeira and secretary Denis D'Mello and representatives of other neighbouring wards and also office-bearers of various associations were present on the occasion.
The programme was attended by the representatives of households in the ward including a number of non-Catholic people around.
The celebrations commenced at 3.00 pm by lighting the lamp by parish priest who also presided over the function. Hilda Sequeira read the report on activities undertaken during the past one year.
Later, the children staged some scintillating dances entertaining the gathering. Shobha Crasta proposed vote of thanks. Robin Fernandes compered the programme.
