Mangalore, Feb 2: A team of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) members will visit every Vidhan Sabha block from Wednesday February 4, said MLA Ramanath Rai.
R V Deshpande, president, KPCC, will lead the team and meet Congress leaders of every block. The opinions and suggestions of every activist will be considered to strengthen the party, he said.
Leaders like Hanumantappa, Srinivas Prasad, K J George, Jalaja Naik, and C M Ibrahim, will accompany Deshpande during the visit and conduct an open meeting in the evening, said Rai.
The activists’ meet will be held at Ullal block on Wednesday February 4, Beltangady on Thursday February 5, Moodbidri on Saturday February 14, Suratkal on Sunday February 15, Mangalore on Monday February 16, Sullia on Tuesday February 17, Puttur on Wednesday 18, and Bantwal on Thursday 19, he added.
The programme is being arranged only to organize the party and has nothing to do with electing the Lok Sabha candidates, stressed Rai. The high command will finalize the decision on the election procedure, he stated.
Leaders like Kodijal Ibrahim, Vijay Kumar Shetty, former MLA, Suresh Ballal, Kallige Taranath Shetty, Ivan D’Souza, M G Hegde and Eshwar Ullal were present on the occasion.
