Mangalore, Feb 1: A seminar on the uses of High Performance Concrete Port Construction was held at Hotel Gateway auditorium on Friday January 30.
The event was organized by New Mangalore Port Trust.
Speaking after inaugurating the seminar, Prof Sandeep Sancheti, director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), said that the New Mangalore Port Trust has carved out a name for itself all over the country with its affective and efficient functioning and performing its duties to the satisfaction of port users.
The trust has been improving its work efficiency every year and leading towards progress is the sign of development taking place at the port, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, P Tamilvanan, chairman, NMPT, said that the success in the port trust was possible because of the job efficiency and competence in work shown by by all its engineers.
S V Madhabhavi, senior engineer, NMPT welcomed the gathering. M R Hadavu proposed vote of thanks.
