The flex with the writings ‘Vishwa Hindu Parishat Bajrang Dal’ regarding the terrorists attack at Pulwama on soldiers guarding the country was hung by Vaidyanatha Chatrapathi branch at Ullal Bail. It was also written that minorities laugh at the murders of soldiers. “The enemies are not outside, those are in the country.” Some of the writings from Mangaluru Muslim Facebook pages were also included in the flex.
Local leaders immediately informed about it to Ullal police. The police officials called the leaders of the branch and removed the flex.
There were controversies about similar statements by Mangaluru Muslim Facebook page also in the past. Muslim organizations had urged to find out those who are behind Facebook page. There is wide dissatisfaction about the inability of police cyber wing to get to the source of the page.
Complaint lodged with police commissioner alleging treason
People who are hurt by the writings by young advocate and CPM activist Nithin Kuthar in public domains dividing on the basis of their religions the soldiers who were killed in Pulwama have complained to Mangaluru commissioner urging him to take suitable action. “Statement that there was only one Muslim soldier and no Brahmin among those who got killed in the terrorist attack is an attempt to mislead that the soldiers are being sent to get killed. It is an attempt to weaken the morale of soldiers by dividing them on the basis of their religion. Therefore, suitable action should be taken against the Facebook post,” stated Rajesh Desodi of Munnoor village in the complaint submitted to police commissioner T R Suresh.
