Kadaba, Feb 17: In an accident which happened near Mardhala in the taluk on Dharmasthala - Subrahmanya state highway, two motor bikes got involved with a head-on collision. In the accident which happened on the night of Saturday February 16, a person lost his life while the other was left seriously injured.

The deceased was Illyas (43), a timber worker, who was the son of the late Ahmed Kunhi from Shivajinagar, Aittoor. Poovappa (38), who was riding the other motor bike, was left seriously injured. He was provided initial treatment at Kadaba community hospital before being admitted into the Puttur hospital.

Illyas was moving in his two-wheeler towards Ichilampady from Mardhala when another motor bike driven by Poovappa hit his vehicle from the opposite direction. Illyas has left behind two wives, four sons and two daughters.

The mortal remains of Illyas were kept in the mortuary of Kadaba community hospital. Local police visited the spot and conducted necessary scrutiny besides registering a case.
