Margao, Jan 30: Three different police complaints have been lodged on Wednesday January 28, against the movie 'Slum Dog Millionaaire'' in Goa.
According to the Hindu Jan Jagruti's Dharmpracharak Jayesh Thali, they have lodged two complaints, one at Panaji and other at Mapusa police station, stating that the movie has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
The other complain was lodged at Margao police station by a devotee named Nanda Nagvenkar .
'Slum Dog Millionaire', an award winning movie at the international level, has shown Lord Rama and the Indian culture in poor light, thus hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus, says Hindu Jan Jagruti organization.
The said complaint has been made against Christian Colson, the producer of the movie, Simon Beaufoy & Vikas Swarup, writers and Danny Boyle & Loveleen Tandan, co- directors of the film, 'Slumdog Millionaire'. Through these complaints, the complainants have demanded that the police take immediate action against the offenders as per the provisions of law and ban the screening of the film within the jurisdiction of the respective police stations.
