Udupi, Feb 15: Udupi-based Dr Padma Gadiyar was crowned ‘Mrs South India Universal’ in competitions that were held in Brisbane, Australia.
Dr Padma is the daughter of Tenkapete residents Arun Shenoy and Archana Shenoy. She had competed in international competitions held in Brisbane in October, 2018 and was crowned Mrs South India, Universal.
35-year-old Dr Padma is a dentist in Australia. Her husband Dr Sanay Gadiyar is a doctor. They have seven year old daughter Sama and 4-year-old son Shayan who are staying in Australia.
Dr Padma completed her primary school education in Indrali School, PUC in MGM College and dental education in Yenepoya University. She liked to compete in beauty contests since childhood. “My husband has encouraged me. There were 10 competitors in the group. I was crowned because I presented excellent performance in photography, quiz and catwalk. I have received offers for modeling but I have not decided about those. Reading, writing, cinemas and sports are my hobbies. I have written a book titled ‘By build cell’ which will be published soon. A contest for ‘Mrs Universal’ will be held in Mexico in August, 2019,” she said.
