Udupi: RPF officials arrest man for transporting diesel in train

Udupi, Feb 6: Railway protection force officials on rounds on Wednesday, February 6 arrested a man on charges of transporting diesel from Bhatkal to Udupi.

Carrying dangerous substances such as diesel in passenger trains is punishable. The person was arrested and presented in district sessions court which has pronounced punishment to him.

As per railway rules, carrying dangerous items in passenger trains are a punishable offence. It may cause problems to passengers. Therefore, railway protection force inspector has asked to refrain from transporting such substances in passenger trains.
