Udupi: Water scarcity - MLA Raghupati Bhat holds meeting

Udupi, Feb 5: Since some days wards of Kakkunje, Gundibailu, Karamballi, Moodabettu, Kodankoor and Gopalpur in the city are facing water scarcity. MLA Raghupati Bhat called a meeting in this connection on Monday, February 4 and tried to find solution to the issue with the officials and members of city municipality.

The contractors and staff who maintain the water supply to the city were also present in the meeting. Bhat advised the officers to take corrective actions as there is a possibility of water scarcity in the coming days also. He also ordered the concerned officials to repair the pipes which are getting leaked in several parts of the city.

president of zilla panchayat Dinakar Babu, members Prabhakar Poojary, Giridhar Acharya, Shreesha Kodavoor, Sampavati, Raju Kasturba Nagara, Balakrishna Shetty, Chandrashekhar, T G Hegde, Manjunath Manipal and engineers Ganesh and Raghavendra were present during the meeting.
