Shivamogga: Konkani Catholic Sabha Sagar celebrates first anniversary

Shivamogga, Jan 31: Konkani Catholic Sabha, Sagar recently celebrated its first anniversary.

On the occasion, a thanksgiving mass was offered by Fr Efram Dias at St Joseph's Church Sagar.

In a stage function after the mass, wedded couples who completed their golden jubilee were honoured.

Chief guest Cyril Rebello of Gonibid and guest Paulstine Pereira of Magundi addressed the crowd on Konkani and it's history as well as on how our clergy has denied our rights to Konkani mass in Shivamogga diocesse.



The function concluded with a slogan 'we must talk in Konkani in our homes'.

Toward the end of the programme, dinner was served to all the crowd that participated.
